This policy explains what personal data Nod ("we", "us") collects through this website at nodfromai.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It covers this website, its forms and the free check only. If you become a client, the agreement we sign with you sets out how we handle data in that work.
Who is responsible
Nod is operated by Nowix Kft, which is responsible for the personal data described here. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@nowix.ai or through the contact page.
What we collect
When you send the contact form
- Details you type in: your name, work email, company, company website and, if you choose to add them, your role, the focus you pick and your message.
- Context we add: the page you sent the form from, the date and time, and a reference number for your enquiry.
- Spam protection: the form contains a hidden field that people do not see. Submissions that fill it in are treated as automated and are not stored or forwarded. We also count submissions per IP address for a short time to block floods of messages. That count is held in memory only and is not stored with your enquiry.
When you run the free check
- What you type in: the website domain you want checked and, if you add them, what you sell and the names or domains of competitors. Please only enter business information here.
- What we look up: we read the title and description of that website's home page to name the company and its category. We then send ten buyer questions to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini through a provider of live AI answer data. The questions describe your category only: they do not contain your company name, your domain or any personal data.
- What we keep: the questions, the answers the assistants gave, the sources they cited and the result, stored on our server under a random check number. The same domain is answered from this stored result for up to 7 days, so a website is checked at most once a week.
- Spam and abuse protection: the check form has a hidden field, a minimum time before it can be sent and a small computing task your browser solves in the background. We count checks per IP address for a day to limit each visitor to a few checks. That count is held in memory only and is not stored with the result.
- If the check cannot run: the page offers a short form instead. It takes your work email and the website you want checked, and we store them as an enquiry so we can send your report when the checker is back. Personal mailbox addresses are not accepted.
- The full report: to open every answer you enter your work email and, if you choose, your name. We store them as an enquiry together with the checked domain and the result summary, and send them to our team like a contact form enquiry. Personal mailbox addresses are not accepted. We may reply by email about the result; we do not add you to a newsletter.
When you browse the website
- Analytics: this website does not currently run any analytics. If we turn analytics on, it will only load after you accept it in a cookie banner, and we will update this policy first.
- Server logs: like any website, the servers that host it may log technical data such as IP addresses, the pages requested and the time, for security and to keep the service running.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive personal data such as health information through the form.
How we use it
- To read and reply to your enquiry, assess whether our service fits your needs and prepare a proposal if you ask for one.
- To run the free check you ask for, show you its result and, after the work email step, the full report.
- To keep the website and the form secure and free of spam.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not add you to a newsletter or marketing list from the contact form.
Legal bases
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on these legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries, for the contact form, the free check and its work email step; our legitimate interest in running a secure website, for spam protection and server logs; and, if we enable analytics in future, your consent.
Who we share it with
- A third party messaging service: when you send the form, your enquiry is delivered to our team through a third party messaging service so that it reaches us directly and we can reply quickly. The service processes the message to deliver and store it for our team.
- Our hosting provider: the website, a copy of each enquiry and the free check results are stored on servers run by our hosting provider, so enquiries are not lost if delivery fails.
- A provider of live AI answer data: when you run the free check, the buyer questions are sent through this provider to ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, and the answers come back to us. The questions contain no personal data, and your email is never sent to it.
- Authorities or advisers: only where the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
These providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law provides for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: we keep contact form enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If you become a client, we keep what we need for the duration of that relationship and for as long as the law requires afterwards.
- Free check results: the questions, answers and result are kept for up to 30 days, then deleted. A work email you give to open the full report is kept as an enquiry, as above.
- Spam protection counts: kept in memory for a few minutes for the forms and for a day for the free check, then discarded.
- Server logs: kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security and operations.
Cookies and your choice
This website currently sets no cookies and runs no analytics, so there is nothing to accept or reject. If that changes, analytics will only load after you agree to it in a cookie banner, and this policy will say so.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent, without affecting earlier use;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, send us a message through the contact page and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we reply within the time the law allows.
Security
We use encrypted connections for the website and the forms, restrict access to enquiries to the people on our team who need it, and store our copy of enquiries and free check results in files readable only by the service that writes them. A full report opens only with a key that is handed to your browser after the work email step. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way we handle data changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
